Mayawati Ashram also known as Advaita Ashrama, is located at an altitude of 1940 m above sea level. This ashram is dedicated to the study and practices of Advaita Vedanta. It is considered as a branch of Ramkrishna Math. Advaita Ashrama is a major publication house of the writings of Swami Vivekanand. Books and reading materials are available in two languages, namely, English and Hindi. This publication house is well known for housing some important publications such as The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda, The Life of Swami Vivekananda and many more. Some of the known old manuscripts of the Ashram are preserved at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. These manuscripts are preserves in the form of microfilms. Advaita Ashram also maintains a charitable hospital at Mayawati.
