Located on the holy banks of the River Ganga, Vindhyavasini Devi Temple in Vindhyachal is one of the popular shakthipeeths where the Goddess Kali is adorned in the form of Vindhyavasini Devi. The Vindhyavasini Devi, popularly called as the Kajala Devi is considered as the embodiment of love and benediction. The temple is situated just 2 km from the Kalikoh, an ancient cave temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Vindhyavasini Devi temple along with the Ashtabhuja and Kalikoh temple constitute the famous ritual called Triloka Parikrama.
Big congregations held during Navratras in Chaitra (April) and Ashwin (October) months, attracts people to visit this place. Kajali competitions are held in the month of Jyestha (June) in which large number of people takes part.
