Gulab Bagh is located on the Lake Palace Road, on the banks of Lake Pichola. It was known as Sajjan Niwas Bagh, the largest garden of Rajasthan, sprawled over 100 acres of land. Due to the presence of many varieties of roses, not very common in India, the garden acquired the name Gulab Bagh or Rose Garden. It is a peaceful garden, a virtual forest of flowers, on the rim of the city area. The garden has an attractive toy train in the premises to keep the children engaged. It also houses a zoo with a number of animals like chinkara, leopards, tigers and birds.
