Gurudwara Santokhsar Sahib is one among the five chronological Sarovars in the Punjab. All the Gurudwaras in Punjab have a tank around the sacred temples to take a holy bath. This sacred pool was constructed by Guru Ram Das, as per the directions of Guru Amar Das. While looking for the ideal spot to dig the pool, Guru Ram Das came across a sage named Santakha. There was also a Gurudwara (Sikhs worship place) established on the banks of this holy pool. The pool was named after the sage Santakha, as Santokhsar. And the Gurudwara was named as Gurudwara Santoshkar Sahib.
