The road that connects Thirthahalli and Kuruvalli across the Tunga River draws lot of tourists. There is nothing much about the place but the bridge that is built across Tunga River is unique. It reminds you of the harbour bridge at Sydney but with a slight difference.
The bridge connecting Thirthahalli and Kuruvalli has arc-like structure on the top supported by consecutive pillars on either side of the bridge. There are beam-like structures on the top, connecting the two arcs, appearing as roof.
The place appears picturesque and becomes a hot-spot for picnics on weekends as it is situated across Tunga River. The bridge was built by bridge built by Sir. M. Visvesvaraya.
