Kamal Nabhi Temple is located in Thanesar, Kurukshetra district of Haryana. The sacred tank named Kamal Nabhi within the temple premises adds further glory to the temple. The shrine is a dedication to Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. The temple has a sacred Kund (tank) where pilgrims take a dip, while entering the temple, which is said to be very pious. While the temple is not very huge yet it holds great significance in the Hindu religion as it is one of the very few temples of Lord Brahma in India.
The temple is situated around one and half kilometers from Thanesar and is on the Pehowa- Kurukshetra road. There is a water tank called Narkatari close-by. Belief is that Arjuna (one of the five Pandavas) had shot an arrow in the ground that poured out water to quench the thirst of the royal Guru Bhishma Pitamah. The water kept flowing out and formed into a tank.
