About Kanwar Lake Bird Sanctuary Information-Begusarai

Kanwar Lake Bird Sanctuary is a popular bird sanctuary located in the Kanwar Taal or Kabar Taal Lake at Begusarai, Bihar, which is Asia largest Fresh Water Oxbow Lake. It is nearly three times the size of the Bharatpur Sanctuary. Ornithologist Salim Ali detailed about 60 migratory birds that come all the way from Central Asia during winter. He found and recorded almost 106 species of resident birds.
