How to Reach Mantralayam: There is a good bus facility from plying from Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and many from Kurnool, Raichur and other nearby places. The place is also on the train route between Mumbai-Chennai, Delhi-Bangalore and Hyderabad-Tirupati. The train stops at the station called Mantralayam Road that is 16kms from Mantralayam. From here there are private jeeps, taxis, auto rickshaws and public buses that take you to the temple. Approximate cost per person would be Rs.50/ per head if you are travelling in private vehicle and Rs.4/ per head, if you opt for a public vehicle. The rates, however, may differ slightly.
From Hyderabad , you can reach Mantralayam by APSRTC buses that ply directly to the temple town. You can also board the bus till Raichur, from where there are plenty of buses to Mantralayam. If you are planning to go by your car or taxi from Hyderabad, then it takes nearly 7 hours to reach.
From Kurnool, Mantralayam is about 2 hour's journey and you can reach here by car/taxi or buses that ply to the temple. When you are going from Hyderabad to Mantralayam you will have to take the Bangalore road. After crossing Kurnool (210km) just before entering Kurnool after crossing the APSP Batallion you get TGV X roads with a huge idol of lord Hanuman on the Left. Take a right turn here and you will be on the Bellary road. Follow this road and you will cross 3-4 villages enroute (nagalapuram, Kodumuru, Karivemula. At karivemula take a right and reach Emminganuru. Once you enter Emminganuru take the straight road near the govt highschool and that road leads you straight to Mantralayam. If in doubt best thing ask 3-4 people.
