Mancherial Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh: Mancherial is the second big town/city (first being Adilabad) in Adilabad District of Andhra Pradesh. Mancherial is also the municipality and commercial hub of the coal belt of Singareni mines. The town is located on the north bank of River Godavari.
Mancherial is famous mainly for being a home to Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary. There are pretty good places to see in Mancherial apart from this wildlife sanctuary. Venkateshwara Temple, Sai Baba Temple, Jama Masjid, Godavari River (sammakka sarakka jathara), Kunthala waterfalls, Gudem (Satyanarayana swami, Ayyappa temples), Jannaram wild life sanctuary and Forest, CSI Church (Luxettipet), Kadem Dam, Gaandhari Khila (or fort), Mancherial Pranahita Wild Life Sanctuary (main city of the sanctuary is Mancherial you can visit the sanctuary from Nov to April), Singareni coal mines are some of the places you can visit on your stay at Mancherial.
On your visit to Pranahita Wildlife Sanctuary, you can also visit Jannaram, which is another village that is a home to Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary. Jannaram is about 50 kms from Mancherial.
