Simhachalam City Travel Guide

Simha means "lion", and chalam means "hill". Simhachalam which is about 16kms from Vizag is famous for Varaha Narasimha Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Narasimha, the man-lion incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This temple of Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha stands on the hills at about 245 meters above the sea level and the exact age of the temple is unknown.
