Karimnagar Andhra Pradesh: Another prominent city, both historically and religiously, in Andhra Pradesh state is Karimnagar. It is the Municipal Head Quarters of the Karimnagar District. Karimnagar is a major business hub. The city has come a long way, emerging as a business, educational and administrative centre. The city comes under Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh, as being the fourth largest city in this region.

Karimnagar town offers many places to see nearby, as there are historically and religiously famous places. Once you are in town, don't forget to see Vemulwada- the abode of Raja Rajeshwara Swami Temple, Dharmapuri that is famous for the shrine of Lord Narasimha Swami. Then you have Kaleswaram, which is famous for the temple of Mukteswara swami, the temple at Kondagattu is also a well-known temple. The Elgandal Fort, situated on the bank of Manair River on Kamareddy Road, gives you a sneak-preview of the historical background of the city. If you are looking for some relaxation, you can visit the places like Lower Manair Dam and Ujjwala Park situated close to the city.

The people of Karimnagar are warm, welcoming and helpful. The widely spoken language is Telugu, while Urdu and English are also spoken. The city has become the major hub for education with many educational institutions. The town is famous for a very delicate form of metal craft called as silver filigree.

I agree you guys..as you said its vary disappointing thing or i would say shame from our political parties & leaders. Again I request politicians please look into development or establishment of different sectors in manufacturing industries in karim nagar dist & its premises hence it source to employment also leads to dist revenues hike. politicians in telangana using karimnagar for their political benefits , instead of developing infrastructure in the city, even though they have powers nothing doing for the city development, Train facility for long distance is the requirement of the city for so many years, ... added by   Ravi on Jun 30 2012
