Kaleshwaram in Mahadevpur Mandal is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Siva on south bank of river Godavari. This Village is close to the place where the three famous rivers Godavari, Pranahita and Antarvahini convergence and proceed towards Antarvedi to meet the Bay of Bengal.
Being in the middle of dense forests and the back drop of the confluence of the Three Rivers the place is ideal for a picnic and also as a touristic place and religious place. Not only the confluence of three perennial rivers, but this Kaleshwaram is very close to the border of 3 states Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and also Madhya Pradesh.
It is also said that, Lord Sri Rama during his exile and in his expeditions in Dandakaranya stayed around this place for some time.
