Govindapuram village is situated about 30 kms from Vizianagaram city in Pusapatirega Mandal of Vizianagaram District in south Indian State- Andhra Pradesh. The name "Govindapuram" ("Govinda" - One of the names of Lord Krishna and "Puram" - Village) itself means that it is the village where Lord Krishna resides.
