Eagle's Crag, Kurseong: One kilometre uphill from the Kurseong Railway Station , at 26.8722 88.2739 is the Eagle's Crag - a view point that offers aerial views of River Teesta and all the surrounding dense hill-forests of Darjeeling and the Siliguri plains as well. During summers when the sky is clear of mist or fog, tourists plonk themselves at Eagle's Crag and watch the Siliguri city light up gradually as the sun goes down.
Tourists flock this view point just before the sunset so they can view the beautiful environs as well as witness the sun setting at such a high elevation.
Eagle's Crag also has a Watch Tower, a pretty flower garden, a cafeteria as well as a Drinking Water Reservoir that supplies water to the whole town of Kurseong.
At the Eagle's Crad, the Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council erected a concrete Altar with a khukri called the Shahid Smarak in honour of the Gorkhas who sacrificed their lives in the 1988 agitation.
