Bir Bhadson Wildlife Sanctuary, Punjab: Bir Bhadson Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the largest protected wild life sanctuaries in Punjab, located in the western region of Nabha - Bhadson - Amloh road. This Bir Bhadson Wildlife Sanctuary falls in the district of Patiala. This sanctuary is spread in an area of about 1022.63 hectares. Erstwhile rulers of the place maintained this sanctuary as a Shikargah (Hunting zone for the kings). This forest is a good example of Northern Tropical Dry Mixed Deciduous forest.
The main wild animals found in the sanctuary are Blue Bull, Hare, Spotted Owlet, Jungle Cat, Black & Grey Partridge, peafowl, Rose Ringed Parakeet and Rhesus Monkey. This reserve is a host for a variety of flora like Arjun, Beri, Dhak, Drek, Kikar, Mesquite, Neem, Phalahi, Shisham and Sambal.
