About Tipu Sultan Summer Palace Information-Bangalore

Tipu Sultan's Palace, Bangalore: Built in the year of 1537 by Kempe Gowda, this two-storied palace is rebuilt by Haider Ali and his son Tipu Sultan during 1791. Some of the inscriptions depict the palace to be the "Dwelling of Joy". The palace looks quite similar to the Daria Daulat of Srirangapatnam and it served as the summer escape for Tipu Sultan who called it Lask-e-Jannat (The Envy of Heaven). Although most of the interiors are badly ruined the palace still holds its beautiful architecture.
