Eco Park in Patna is one of the beautiful attractions of the city. With the mission of the state government of Bihar, many scenic and wonderful parks have been constructed at several places in Patna. One of the notable parks in Patna among all is the Eco Park, which is a recently developed project by the state government. Having been inaugurated recently in the month of October 2011, Eco Park is considered as an accomplished effort to give people a pollution-free place and they get some leisure from the daily stresses.
The inauguration of Eco Park in Patna was performed by the deputy chief minister of Bihar, Mr. Sushil Kumar Modi. The formation of Eco Park in Patna is an initiative from the Bihar State Tourism Department. Located in the Punaichak at Bailey Road in Patna, the park is full of sprawling lush green area and boasts of two large sections. In the first section, there is enough space where people can have a leisurely walk. Meanwhile, there are see saws and other playing stuff for kids.
In the second section of Eco Park, there exists a beautiful lake where people of all age groups can go for a boat ride. There is latest machinery for exercising as well. For tourists, there is a restaurant wherein one can order delicious food and soft drinks. Both the sections in Eco Park Patna are interconnected through an underground tunnel.
There different varieties of flora representing different seasons and bloom here all over the entire year. It appears as if the God has filled all the colors of nature in the park. Eco Park in Punaichak area consists of flowers such as sunflowers, white and red roses, water lilies, lotus, Petunia, Dahlia flower and more.
The park is open right from morning to evening. People can visit the park anytime to spend their time and to have a recess from their daily schedule. There are no entry charges collected till eight in the morning. However, visitors will be charged with a nominal fee of Rs. 5 till evening.
